Ultimate Monopoly by jonizaak Ultimate Monopoly by jonizaak
This is a mash up of Monopoly, Super Add-On Monopoly and Monopoly: Mega Edition. Mega (the outer board) received the most editing by me because it duplicated so much from the original board. It differs in these ways: In order for it to fit without increasing the size of spaces, one space was added to each side on the outer board, so 13 per side. I deleted anything that was a duplicate of the original board, so income and luxury tax, and the 4 corner squares. 2 of the Railroads were removed as they serve as "Transit Stations". I ended up with a total of 8 extra spaces needing to be filled. I also moved things around so there not be stuff directly next to the same item between the Mega (outer) and standard (middle) boards (For example, 2 "Chance" spaces). The railroads now serve as "transit stations" (based on the elevator idea from Super add-on) allowing you to move between boards. On the outer board, I to fill extra spaces I added an extra Bus Ticket" space, and an extra "Chance" and "Community Chest" space. I changed to outer board utilities to "Cable", "Trash" and "ISP" so as not to overlap and added an extra, "Sewer" to fill a blank spot. Also, to fill the 4 of the blank spaces I added 4 "Cab Companies" which work like Railroads. For the corners, of the outer board, I added 2 "Holland Tunnel" spaces which allow you move to the opposite corner of the board if landed on. Also, I added 2 "Stock Exchange" spaces, which work with the Stock Exchange mini game. And finally, I recolored the property groups on the outer board and gave them street names of (in counterclockwise order starting with the Light Pink properties): Minneapolis (Light Pink), New Orleans (Light Green), Houston (Cream), Atlanta (Teal), Chicago (Wine), Salt Lake City (Gold), Philadelphia (Peach) and Los Angeles (Maroon). The prices were revise to start at $30 each and go up every 2 properties by $30 (except in the groups that have only 3 properties).

The middle board is essentially plain old Monopoly.

The inner board is Super Add-On Monopoly revised in the standard Monopoly style. The only changes are the elevators are now called "Transit Stations" And Travel cards should be shuffled in with the Bus Tickets from Mega (because they do something similar). I changed San Francisco's Market Street to The Embarcadero since the Outer Board has a Market Street in the Philadelphia properties and I feel Market Street is a more major Street in Philadelphia than SF. I also revised the colors to not overlap any othe others, so we have, starting in the upper right hand corner, Miami (Brown), San Francisco (White), Boston (Black), New York City (Grey).

I think I ran out of colors!

I really do not have rules written for this yet. It was just a fun art project for me, really. Also, this is FAN ART. No copyright infringement intended. Monopoly is made by Hasbro. Super Add-On is made by RAD Games and Monopoly: Mega Edition is made by Winning Moves (licensed by Hasbro). You should go out and buy all 3! I did!

EDIT 12/31/13: I made a few slight changes. I put a PAY DAY square where one of the stock corners was because I thought it would stink getting stuck on the outer board with no income. I also swapped the SUBWAY square from the Inner board (Super Add-On) with one of the Holland Tunnel squares, so now it is basically a portal between the inner and outer boards. Happy New Year, all!

EDIT 1/9/14: Corrected the cost of Marvin Gardens.

EDIT 1/25/14: Rearranged some corner squares.

EDIT 10/3/16: By popular demand, there is now a high res version of the board here: jonizaak.deviantart.com/art/Ul…

Hi Jonathan,

I'm looking for a high res image of the railway station card as we're building a real life Monopoly game in our street for the annual village festival. Are you willing to share this piece of artwork with me?

Best regards,
Geert

Recenyly tried it. Loved it.

Just a thought. Extreme Monopoly? Maybe 4 or 5 layers?

Some ideas:
1)Colours reused from first 3 rings to ensure players move around. Totalling 8 property per colour group in different combinations. Must have all in the set to build.

2)Utilities: Postal Service, Security Dept, Radio Station, Press Company

3)4 more railroads. At the corners. 2 from ring 3 to 4. 2 from ring 4 to 5.

And you really might wanna look into bringing it up to hasbro. With ir withouth the extreme idea. Just the ultimate would do as well. Could be worth some bucks even who knows?

Finally and most importantly: Thank you and may God bless you. Pretty sure theres a spot reserved in heaven for you.

I love this! Is it possible for you to create a higher resolution version of this? When I print it out Mega Monopoly size, it's a little fuzzy.

Wow! That's an amazing version of Monopoly! However, there are 2 mistakes on the board, and I hope you could fix them.

1. The price of Decatur street should be $240, not "$2400".
2. After the rule revision in 2008, Luxury/Super Tax should be $100, and the 10% option in Income tax is no longer available.

I would happy to see these errors fixed. Thank You!

PS: Some title deeds of outer color groups have some unbalance (too cheap) in contrast of the middle and the inner ones. I made some tweaks of those too cheap rents to restore their true value. Can I share with you?

What an amazing effort! I am waiting patiently for the arrival of my own copy of the Monopoly Mega Edition - but until it arrives, what are the dimensions of the board? I assume you designed it to match the Mega Edition in size, but I can't find board dimensions anywhere!

My plan is to break it down to nine tiles, and mount each tile to board material. Then simply lay them out for play. Currently, I've sized them at 8 inches each, which prints perfectly on single sheets, but a 24" square board seems TOO large...

Way back when I had roommates, like, a million years ago, we'd put two monopoly boards together like a figure 8 - free parking was the center space. We would also use multiple risk boards for giant games, with "warp" countries to switch boards. This distillation you have created brings back memories - and I already have some people excited to play!

Just got my Mega Edition. Wow, that board is 25 inches square! I can get pretty close to that with nine tiles on letter-sized paper. Especially since the actual printed sheet on the board is 24 and 11/16 inches.

Hello to all

I discovered recently the Monopoly City and I am to go to see the rules of this Monopoly City

I found new very interesting building and I think that they can easily incorporate in the ultimate Monopoly (it oversewed to double the largueur of the location to dedicate to the construction on them kick)

If I can give some idea

I as for myself, I shall have put 16 stations having the signs of the traditional cards (heart, clover, peak and diamond)

Instead of compartments "lucky" and " box of community "

Cards "lucky" and " box of community " will not disappear for all that, because they can be pulled thanks to Speed Die (a face "lucky" and a face " " box of community ")

And for the already existing stations, why not to put airport in the place?

Here is

Sorry for rather pathetic English, but I do not speak English and I used a translator

I noticed a small error around the Squeeze Play space. If you compare the right edges of both Squeeze Play and Lombard Street, you can see the right side of Squeeze Play is jutting outwards slightly.

For the sake of consistency, try to make the titles of each property have the same height between the name of the property and the color square that shows which group it belongs to, for instance the titles of the teal properties are closer to the colored box than the orange properties.

To maybe make a player's trip around the inner area less hectic early in the game, you could swap the color groups counter-clockwise so when you first enter through Pennsylvania Railroad, the first property group is brown, the lowest-valued of the inner area, instead of grey, which is the highest.

The only way I'd ever see the board get any bigger then this is if we did a small "island" board separate from the main board, kinda like what the game "Itadaki Street" does every now and then.
Example:
www.vgmaps.com/Atlas/NES/Itada…
It'd be really small, with only two three-property streets, one Chance, one Community Chest, one or two more new kinds of spaces where you get/pay money, a new "Pass & Collect" space (gives only $50 per pass because of how small the "island" would be), and two "Holland Tunnels", which would link to the two Holland Tunnels on the main board.

I myself wouldn't know how to work with this (I can't really write rules that well) though it could be a good idea for a stand-alone expansion that would also work with Super/Ultimate.

I honestly think you should bring this to Hasbro. This is an amazing idea, and they could even help you get the rules and whatnot sorted out :D You already have Money made for it, and you could easily come up with new player and house/hotel designs, or even just use the originals. Nontheless, this is freakin epic, and I think Hasbro would take this in. Go for it man, go for it.

Having said that, I have noticed that Decatur Street seems a little pricey ;)

I believe that for the full set of games to do standard cards ' Chance ', ' Public ' and card standard Treasury lands (medium range)? I mean with the additions.
in my opinion, it is better to make the standard ' classic ' form because all the modern improvements have had a negative impact on the entire game.

I submitted the cards I made here: chadws.deviantart.com/art/Ulti…  Anyone can feel free to use them.

They are, of course, not needed for this - or any other - game.  If you own all the parts (**and you should, they are awesome games**) then you have all you need - but these are just to put them all in the same style  I made some changes here and there to make them better fit the particulars of this game, and added a few ideas of my own from other games and out of thin air, but they are by no means necessary for ... well, for anything ever, really.  I mostly made them for me.

I actually have some custom cards I made that are for Monopoly Stock Exchange. They have pics and everything. Wanna collaborate? There are some other hard to find sets I want to use cards from. Also, In my version, Elevators are Transit Stations.

chadws Featured By Owner Jan 7, 2014  Hobbyist General Artist
Oops!  I can't believe I missed that.  I changed the Elevator Passes to Transit Tokens.  The file should be fixed now.

With this version I was going for consistency - same size, same fonts, same look and feel for all the cards; and the same layout and same name for each card group.  Since I didn't have pictures for all the Chance / Community Chest cards, I didn't put them on any.  I have (impractical) plans to do a more modern set, using the current size and style of cards, but it took a blizzard to give me the time to do these.

I used your and njr75003's cards as references when I included Stock Exchange cards (and mentioned that in the description) - but I didn't use any of the pictures.  If that's not ok, please let me know, and I will replace the ones I included.

Let me know what you'd like to do as far as collaborating goes.  I'd like to include some cards to place on the property spaces - a la Monopoly Millionaire's "Fortune" cards.  .... Of course, adding that might make setting up this game will take longer than most board games take to play.  HA!

I actually read the description afterward. I like the cards. If you want the pics I used, I would be happy to send them to you! I have honestly not played Monopoly Millionaire. I do not want this to turn into a monster, but I am open if you can explain them to me. I know there were some additional Monopoly cards that I believe came in a book in the 70s that I cannot remember the title of. I cannot find them in my monopoly folder....
